And Then There Were 5…

July 29, 2005

Well, it's been a long time coming, but one of the members of my team at work attempted to milk the attendance cow one last time only to find that the cow was no longer producing milk. Said person revealed to me a couple of weeks ago that their chief worry was losing their job, to which I replied, "You don't want to lose your job? Simple! Come to work on time, know how to do your job, do your job, and don't take long breaks." Too bad I forgot to mention that if you're going to play hookey, don't throw your smock in the dirty bin a day early and then mysteriously call out sick the next shift. Kinda raises red flags about how sick you are. My area is now down to 5 people, which is manageable so long as everybody is present (shouldn't be a problem anymore), and we are hoping to see a replacement in the next few weeks.
