China: Day 2 Continued

I posted a couple more pictures in the China album from our day. Speaking of that day, yesterday went something like this:

We had all agreed to meet for our complimentary breakfast around 9:00 AM.  Turns out most of us were awake by 6:00 AM…  mmmm… jet lag.  Anyway, breakfast was great; there was French Toast, pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, bagels, pastries, fruit, and more.  After breakfast we decided that today would be our best opportunity to shop, so we hailed two cabs to get us to the mall district.  Once we were in the cabs speeding through the streets, I began to understand what Karrie’s Uncle Nick was referring to: driving here is crazy.  Cars, trucks, bikes, rickshaws, and pedestrians go anywhere and everywhere.  Once we were at the mall (think of like an outdoor mall where the walkways are instead streets), we even found that we were honked out of the w
